White oats

Description

White Oats undergoes flaking process of groats to end up in flakes which are packed in to 1kg packs.  The product can be used for a variety of dishes i.e. porridge, gruel, soup, cookies, cakes, biscuits, meat loaf and puddings.

These are made from whole oat grain that has undergone roasting, dehulling and steam treatment.
The roasting imparts a nice roasted aroma on the product. Steam treatment deactivates lipase enzyme in the grain that would otherwise lead to off flavors in the final product as a result of rancidity.
Proctor & Allan Oat products need short cooking i.e. 3-6 minutes and are rich in fiber, iron, protein & vitamin B1.
